I soooooo miss Looney Tunes. I did manage to find (on VHS) the Daffy Duck Fantastic Island movie. I don’t own a VCR, but I own my favorite VHS Daffy movie. Favorite part is where Bugs Bunny is acting (offscreen) as a pencil sketch artist and messes with Daffy in each sketch. In my favorite of those sketches, Daffy requests an island to swim to. Bugs draws it “far away” after Daffy requested a “close-up, a close-up” right? So Bugs fills the TV screen with Daffy’s eyeballs, and Daffy asks….. THIS IS A CLOSE-UP?

Cool that you got the movie! The episode your referring to is “Duck Amuck”, and my favorite part is when Bugs turns him into that four-legged creature! There’s also a parody where Elmer Fudd draws Bugs Bunny called “Rabbit Rampage”… 😉

Grew up in the late 1950’s – 60’s watching Bugs Bunny cartoons from the 1940’s (now “Classics” ) on TV, that originally were made for the viewing audience in Movie Theaters as the cartoon entertainment prior to the start of the Main Featured Film. The background musical scores played were an introduction to Classical music for me and all who watched them. Also, classic folk songs from periods in American history and culture relate with popular songs and style of that era. “🎼”When the swallows come back…” were the words to a known song he sang in part while he was in the shower; his ears tucked in a shower cap and scrubbing his back with a back brush just enjoying the pleasure of the moment, before his next comment said with comic sarcasm , lol! I can’t not mention his classic rendition of & in costume singing, 🎼”Mama’s lil’ baby loves shortnin’- shortnin’, Mama’s lil’ baby loves shortnin’ bread”.
