I’ve been described as hot tempered, scandalous, ornery, shifty, and extremely grouchy … so be it.  I’ve appeared in a variety of roles … Confederate soldier, town mayor, desert sheik, royal cook, prison guard, even a space alien. But, be that as it may, some of my finest and favorite portrayals have been that of a pirate sailing the high seas, or a marauding, plundering, buccaneer sailing the Spanish Main. Truth be told though, my personal favorite, the role for which I’m known best, and the one I’m most familiar … that bein’ a pistol packin’, ‘hare’ triggered, gun slingin’ cowboy.

I was first introduced to you, the public, by way of the cartoon “Hare Trigger” in 1945; courtesy of my good friends Friz Freleng, Mel Blanc, and the fine gents at Warner Bros.  From there I went on to star in a number of cartoons or ‘shorts’ as they’re known in the business, featured next to that lily-livered hare … Bugs Bunny.  Next it was on to appear in a cameo role, and a spin-off of sorts, alongside another varmint … some quacker, called himself Daffy.  And the rest as they say, is history.  Gotta go, I smell carrots cookin’… I’ll get that rabbit!
